The Sha Tin meeting was always going to be a hard assignment. A long shot placegetter that just missed and a couple of well rated winners meant that the sum total for the day was a 2 unit profit. After a run of near misses early we were down 10 units but came home with a wet sail in the last two races to make a profit. That's 11 of the past 12 meetings we have finished in the black. Out:10.13 IN:12.23 units +2.1 units
- The Packing Pins versus Amazing Kids battle was the main talking point. I was fairly keen on a roughie in Guru's Dream to topple both. Packing Pins won with authority but Guru's rattled home to claim second and a fantastic place dividend of $12 for those who followed the advice of 0.2 units the win, 0.4 the place.
- I was also keen on Gold Dragon (3rd), Spicy Sure (1st) and Lucky Bubbles (1st but under rated odds)
- The Spicy Sure, Invincible Fresh quinella in the last looked a lock and so it proved to be. Followers were advised to invest 0.6 units and the tote div of $12.10 was very tidy.
