Leader Bias Beats Able Friend

There was a pronounced leader bias at Sha Tin for this meeting. That coupled with a lack of value made for a losing day. ( - 5.16 units)

It's always a tough pill to swallow when you find the winners but they are too short to back. This is how the day played out for top raters:

Race 1: O'socoole Rated 3.67  / unplaced $5.50

Race 2: Magical Beauty 5.37  /  1st $4.20

Race 3: All My Gain 4.77  / 1st $5 no bet, too many first starters

Race 4: Ensuring 4.10. / unplaced $6

Race 5: Ashkiyr 2.66 / unplaced $2.80

Race 6: Military Attack  7.7 / 1st $3.80

Race 7: Able Friend 2.6 / 3 rd $1.30 - no bets

Race 8: Gold Fun 7.3  / 1st  $1.80

Race 9: Sichuan Dar 4.6/ 2nd $4.4

Race 10: Lucky Bubbles 4.77 / 1st $1.85

So we back other overlays in those races and get beaten by our top raters. Our only collect for the day was a good one in race 9: Travel Renyi rated at $7.47 saluted at $9 with a quinella play with the top rater Sichuan Dar thrown in to sweeten the dividend. The day was not a disaster. It looked good on paper, I picked plenty of winners. Just no joy on the odds front.
